This week, it’s the turn of Marianne and Chris, AKA the awesome overlander YouTuber’s ‘Tread The Globe’.
Who are you, and what do you do?
Hi! We are Marianne and Chris. After Chris was diagnosed with an electrical heart issue and I (Marianne) became a paired living kidney donor for a friend - we decided to quit the 9-5 and travel - nearly 8 years later, we are now full-time 'Youtubers'?!!
What first sparked your love for vanlife / life on the road?
For me (Marianne), there was not ONE trip which did not involve a tent, boat, camper or motorhome! In fact, Trudy (the van) is the same year and model as my dads very last camper - he actually persuaded us to chose this model as it is the only van with a bed width ways that Chris could lie down in. As a young family, I introduced Chris to camping, for cheap holidays, but he had never stayed in a 'home on wheels' before he moved full time into Trudy in 2018!
What can people expect from your session at Vanlove Fest?
During our talk, we'll take you on a whirlwind journey covering our 4.5 years of overland travel around the Globe. We’re thrilled to share the trailer for our new 14 part docu-series, and we’ll be taking you on a behind the scenes look at our 'home on wheels', and the ambitious route we have chosen for the next challenge!!

Life is not easier just simplier…
What’s your go-to comfort ritual on the road?
If there is no park up on a beach with wine ..... Nachos and Netflix
What does ‘Vanlove’ mean to you?
Being part of a community where spreading kindness, encouragement and positivity is the best part of living on the road!
